Srinagar: A 45-year-old female body was found in mysterious condition in Seloo village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday.

Reports said that a body was lying near Band Saw Mill in Seloo village of Sopore, adding that people after spotting the body immediately informed police.

Police later reached the spot and recovered the body of woman in mysterious condition.

Police officials said the deceased identified as Akthar Begum, wife of Ghulam Rasool Marthgam of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

They told that it was not clear whether she has consumed the poisonous substance or was administered the poison by someone.

The body of the deceased was handed over to her family after completion of legal formalities, the officials said, adding that a case has been registered and further investigations in this regard. (KNO)
