Police on Saturday recovered body of a 35-year-old chemist from his home in Dhargloon area of Mendhar Poonch, officials said.

They said at about  9:40 am, the chemist Tahir Mehmood (35) son of late Mohammad Sadeeq (retired ZEO) was found dead under suspicious circumstances in his room. A police party from police station Gursai rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

A police officer told a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS) that the body has been shifted to Sub District Hospital for postmortem. Tahir, the officer said, Tahir owned a shop near Sangla Chowk Mendhar.

SHO Gursai Niaz Ahmed told GNS that proceedings under 174 CrPC have been launched. (GNS)
