Srinagar: The Power Development Department (PDD) has miserably failed to repair the damaged transformer of Pahalgam village in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district from past 20 days, forcing the villagers to reel under darkness.

The residents of Nagbal Salia village said that the transformer in their area developed technical snag almost twenty days ago, but the authorities have failed to repair it since then, causing hardships to the people.

The residents said that the absence of electricity in winter season has left them to lurch at large. They appealed the district administration as well as the officials in PDD department to look into the matter at an earliest.

Meanwhile, PDD official told that the transformer is being repaired and the people will get electricity again very shortly. (KNO)
