The Jammu and Kashmir police recovered a 14-year-old girl and arrested her kidnapper in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
In a statement, police said, “A complaint was lodged in police station Mirbazar in Kulgam on 21 March 21 by a person that an unknown person kidnapped her 14-year-old daughter.”
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Qazigund and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation a team headed by Incharge Police Post Mirbazar was constituted.
Acting on specific leads, the team was able to recover the kidnapped girl from Hyderabad and arrested the accused person identified as Gowhar Ahmad Mir resident of Lalan Anantnag, the statement read.
