The Jammu and Kashmir police Wednesday claimed to have arrested all the accused including minors found involved in the alleged molestation of a minor girl at Chakloo village of Baramulla.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch, police said that a formal complaint in this regard was received in Police Station Baramulla stating therein that 12 year old girl(name withheld) was allegedly molested in the area.
“Accordingly team from Police station Baramulla immediately rushed to the spot and arrested the accused including minors,” the police statement said.
A top police official said that subsequently FIR No. 31/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in police station Baramulla.
“There has been some neighborly dispute which led to scuffle between the two families for which separate FIR has been registered,” the statement further added.
The senior police officials also refuted the allegation of delaying action adding that strict action under law shall be taken against those who have disclosed her identity by uploading her video on Social Media.
