Weatherman predicts light rain, snowfall in Kashmir in next 24 hours

As the valley continues to reel under cold wave, the meteorological department of Kashmir on Tuesday predicted  light rain and snowfall for next 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir.

The weather office said that precipitation would break the ongoing cold wave cycle in Jammu and Kashmir.

Kargil was the coldest place in the state with a low of minus 17.3 degree Celsius followed by Leh at minus 14.6 degree.

The capital city Srinagar recorded minus 4.2 degree Celsius while as winter tourist hub Gulmarg, recorded a low of minus 4.2 degree Celsius.

In south Kashmir’s famous tourist spot Pahalgam the temperature was recorded as minus 4.9 degree Celsius.
