2:00 Pm: Internet services have been restored in some areas of Baramulla.

In south Kashmir’s Kokernag area 98 votes were polled till 1:30 Pm

12: 50 pm: In Anantnag 5 % votes were registered, in Budgam 3% while as in Bandipora and Baramulla , 2% and 3% voting was registered.

The summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar witnessed 3.5% voting was recorded.

12:00 pm:  37 votes have been cast at the lone polling booth in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party are in direct contest in the district.Out of 642 only 37 votes have been cast till noon at the Budgam municipal committee’s ward 5.

11:17 am: In Bandipora district a mere 1.89% people have casted their votes till 11 am. 321 people have casted their votes in the north Kashmir district.

10:00 am: Media has been barred from entering Kupwara district. Indian express quoted DC Kupwara Khalid Jahangir as saying that there is threat for both voters and the media hence the restrictions.

9:45 am: Only twelve votes have been cast in the lone ward of central Kashmir’s Budgam district since the polling began.

9:40: In Baramulla’s Khawajabagh 37 have polled out till now out of 924 votes.

In Janbazpora of Baramulla zero votes have been polled out in the area out of 587 and 1097 registered votes in the two polling stations respectively.

9:34 am: In Srinagar’s Humhama five votes have been cast till now.

9:30 am:In Bandipora’s Nathpora area congress workers have been accused of bogus voting by independent candidate

Mohammad Akram Wani, who is contesting  from Ward number 14, Nathpora, alleged that the Congress leader used policemen to poll votes for his brother Khurshid Ahmad, who is one of the contestants from the ward.

9:18 am: 48 votes have been polled in sixteen out of the 17 wards in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district where polling for the first phase began this morning

9:07 am :In Srinagar’s Rangreth four votes have been cast in Nielet area in the first two hours. 7 polling stations are at Rangreth.
