Two Army personnel injured in Bandipora gunfight


According to the latest reports, at least two army men have been injured at Panar forest area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora District on Monday.

The injuries came during the encounter with militants on third day of anti militants operation.

The fresh gunfire broke out today in the morning when the army’s 14 RR along with the additional reinforcement has intensified the combing operation in the dense forests to trace out the hiding militants.

As such the forces launched the cordon, militants hiding in the area opened fire upon them triggering off a brief exchange of gunfire, he had said.

The operation was in progress when this report was filed.
