Tral shuts down for fourth day to mourn militant killings

A complete shutdown is being observed in Tral township of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district for fourth consecutive day on Tuesday against killing of militants in the area.

Six militants of Zakir Musa-led Ansar Ghazwat ul Hind, including the deputy chief, were killed by government forces during a gunfight on Saturday morning in Arampora village of Tral.

All shops and other commercial establishments are closed while thin movement of public transport is visible on the roads.

Meanwhile, people continue to visit the families of slain militants to express condolences and offer prayers.
