Thousands of mourners bid farewell to slain Hajin militants

Thousands of mourners attended the funeral prayers of slain teenage militants in Hajin town of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

In an 18 hour long encounter two teenage militants  Mudassir Parray, 14 and Saqib Sheikh, 17  in Mujgund area of Srinagar city along with a Pakistani militant who was identified as Ali were killed on Sunday.

As  per reports amid massive pro-freedom slogans,  the duo were lowered into the graves with people wailing and singing dirges.

Eye-witnesses described the scenes as heartbreaking.

Adding that two funeral prayers were offered for the duo as  people could not be accommodated in the Eidgah.

They said that the duo were carried through every locality of Hajin as women sang wedding songs for the slain.

The killing of two teenage militants has garnered widespread condemnation especially the killing of 14 year old Mudasir.

People’s Conference chief Sajad Lone termed  his killing as sad and scary.

Lone said that administration should exhaust all non-military options when a minor is involved adding calling off such an operation is a better option
