Thousands lead Kisan Mukti March, seek reforms

Srinagar: Thousands of farmers demanding the discussion over the current situation of farmers, joined the Kisan Mukti March in New Delhi to parliamentary street in the India on Friday.

As reported by Express, farmers from Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh commuted in trains, buses to join the protest at the Ramlila ground. The AIKSCC claims that this rally is “one of the largest congregations of farmers” in the national capital in recent times.

Heavy police personnel have been deployed to ensure flexible traffic in the area.

The farmers are indebted to the banks owing to the crop failures, resulting in the suicide of farmers.
