Strict restrictions in parts of Srinagar after youth dies


Strict restrictions have been imposed in parts of Srinagar ahead of the funeral procession of youth, who died last night.

Qaiser Ahmad, 21, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital late last night after he was mowed down by a paramilitary forces’ vehicle in Nowhatta during clashes on Friday.

Barricades have been put up by police and paramilitary forces in various parts of downtown areas, sealing all roads towards the house of Ahmad in Fateh Kadal.

The funeral procession of the youth is supposed to be held before noon.
