Srinagar: After the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) sent a letter to Jammu and Kashmir governor, Satya Pal Malik, to set claim to form the government with 56 legislative members, party president Mehbooba Mufti says that the letter has not been received, while she also tried to call.
The letter reads that the PDP along with NC’s 15 legislative members and Congress’ 12, it has a total collective strength of 56 to form the government.
However, after the reports of letter spread, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti tweeted the letter and also added, “Have been trying to send this letter to Rajbhavan. Strangely the fax is not received. Tried to contact HE Governor on phone. Not available. Hope you see it.”
Signed by the party President Mehbooba Mufti, it further adds that “it would not be possible for me to call on you immediately and this is to keep you informed that we would be seeking your convenience shortly to stake the claim for forming the government in the State.”
