Srinagar-Jammu highway remains open for one way traffic

Srinagar: The Srinagar-Jammu highway has been opened for one way traffic on Tuesday after a few days of bad weather conditions.

According to a spokesperson of traffic department, movement of LMVs on the highway shall be allowed from Pantha Chowk/Peaks Chowk, bypass (Srinagar) towards Jammu after 0500 hours to 1500 hours and shall be cross Levdora, Qazigund up to 1700 hours.

“Similarly, no movement of traffic shall be allowed from other side and commuters are requested to avoid traveling during night hours,” the official said.

The spokesman said that people are requested to undertake a journey only after confirming the status of the road.
