Slain SPO was on way to offer Eid prayers, survived by two daughters aged 2, 5: Police

The slain special police officer (SPO) who was killed by suspected militants  early Wednesday morning had gone to offer  Eid prayers when he was shot dead, Police officials said.

In a statement issued her police spokesman said that the constable Fayaz Ahmed Shah son of Abdul Rehman Shah was on leave and had gone to offer Eid prayer.

The spokesman said that the slain constable a resident of Zaripora area of Kulgam district is survived by two minor daughters,  “He is survived by two minor daughters aged 5 and 2 years, wife and an aged mother,” he said

“Police has registered a case under relevant sections of law and investigation in the instant matter has been initiated.” He added.
