Shopian shuts down for fourth consecutive day


A complete shutdown is being observed for the fourth consecutive day in south Kashmir’s Shopian district against the killing of six militants, and  a civilian by government forces on Friday.

Reports said that all shops, business establishments, schools and colleges, etc  remained closed for the fourth consecutive day in Shopian town and some other parts of the district against the killing of five militants in an encounter with government forces.

Public transport  is also off the roads  while as petrol pumps are also shut in the district.
