Shopian shuts down against militant killings

A complete shutdown is being observed in the south Kashmir’s Shopian district over the killing of four local militants during a gunfight in Nadigam village on Tuesday.

All business establishments, shops and markets are closed, while as the traffic movement is off the roads.

Four Hizb militants along with a Para-commando were killed while as  three soldiers suffered injuries in the gunfight on Tuesday.

Three girls among ten were injured in clashes with government forces that were triggered soon after the gunfight was over.
