Search operation resumed by Army in Gurez sector

Army on Wednesday resumed the search operation in Bagtor forest range near Line of control in Gurez sector of  north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Reports said that no contact has been established with militants despite army launching the operation in the wee hours of Wednesday.

On Tuesday night the operation was suspended Tuesday due to  darkness, however, the forest range remained under the cordon.

According to reports it has not been established whether militants have escaped or hiding in the area.

However the deployment of  troops deployment has been increased and para-commando’s have also taken part in the action.

On Tuesday, four army personnel along with  militants  were killed in a gunfight in the area.
