Protesters throw stones at J-K governor’s chopper

Almost 150 tents were burned and 24 people were injured when violent clashes broke out in Baltal base camp of Amarnath pilgrimage shrine in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district when, Nabi Khan, a resident of Kupwara district, was allegedly beaten by a non local cook working in the pilgrimage kitchen.

Sources told The Kashmir Walla that Governor, N N Vohra, visited the area after the tension gripped. Hundreds of local residents hurled stones at his chopper and was forced to leave soon it arrived.
