Police foil SSA teacher’s protest in Srinagar


Srinagar:The Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday foiled a protest march carried out by hundreds of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers by using water cannons.

The teachers were staging a protest near Municipal Park Srinagar and demanded implementation of salary as per 7th Pay Commission.

As the protesting teachers started marching towards Raj Bhawan as per programme, police used water cannons to disperse them.
