Panchayat polls: Ganderbal records 5.5% voting, Budgam 19.3% till 10 am

In the third phase of the panchayat polls, less than 20% people have cast their vote in the Kashmir valley till 10 am.

Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal  recorded a voter turnout of 5.5% and while in Budgam 19.3% voters cast their vote.

In Kupwara district the voting was recorded  10.8% while in its neighboring district Baramulla it was recorded 13.1%.

In Bandipora district, 18.2% excercised their franchisee.

Meanwhile Kargil has recorded 8.9% while 14.9% voting has been recorded in the Leh district.

Pertinently, Hizb supremo Syed Salahuddin’s village  Soibug block of Budgam has not observed any polling.

In Jammu division  Kathua has witnessed highest polling of 27 % while Kishtwar witnessed the lowest of 12.3% so far. The other districts Doda, Ramban and Udhampur have recorded a turnout of 16.2%, 19.7% and 22.8% respectively.

Amid shutdown the elections are underway in the Valley.
