Panchayat polls: 36.46% votes polled in Baramulla till 12 am

In the first phase of Panchayat elections, north kashmir’s  Baramulla district has recorded a voter turnout of 36.46 percent till 12 am.

47 panchayat blocks will go to the polls in the first phase of nine phased election process.

In north Kashmir, elections are being held at Uri, Parenpillan, Noorkah, Kunzer and Kandi-Belt Rafiabad.

Meanwhile JRL has called for election boycott and shutdown today, the mainstream parties National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have also kept themselves away from taking part in the elections
