Pakistan elections: 25 killed in Quetta

At least 25 people have been killed in a deadly suicide blast in Quetta, IG police Mohsin Butt confirmed. The dead include police officials are civilians, Dawn reported.

The area was crowded as people were making their way to vote at Tameer-e-Nau Model School nearby. Polling has come to a halt at the polling station after the blast.

The blast targeted a police van which was passing by on a road near a polling station in NA-260.

Investigations are underway and an emergency has been declared at Civil Hospital where injured are being treated.
