Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti Tuesday hit out at National Conference leader Omar Abdullah saying that the latter was peddling fake news regarding her to mislead people.
Taking to her Twitter handle the PDP president lashed out at Omar Abdullah accusing him of fabricating stories, “Usually fake news & falsehoods are peddled by dubious news channels. But its baffling when a politician like @OmarAbdullah fabricates stories based on pure fiction. Such dangerous propaganda is detrimental to the truth & an attempt to mislead people,” she wrote.
Pertinently Omar Abdullah had accused Mehbooba of duality saying that Mehbooba had told both congress and BJP that she would support their candidate for the upcoming elections for the post of vice chairman for Rajya Sabha, “@MehboobaMufti has told the Congress she will support the UPA candidate for #RajyasabhaVice Chairman. She’s also told the BJP she will support the NDA candidate. How does that work exactly?” Omar wrote.
The Rajya Sabha is set to elect a vice chairman on August 9 drawing fresh battle lines between National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and opposition parties.
