No candidates, no polling in 3 Budgam municipalities

No polling exercise was witnessed in three municipalities of the Central Kashmir’s Budgam district as there was  no candidate nor an opponent in any of the three municipalities including Chrar-e-Shareef, Magam and Beerwah which consist of 39 wards, 13 wards each.

In Chrar e Shareef nine candidates won uncontested and other two wards have no candidate.

In Magam six wards have no candidate whereas the candidates of other seven wards won unopposed.

In Beerwah only one candidate has filed nomination papers for ULB polls who won uncontested while 12 remaining wards have no candidate.
