Naveed Jatt killing: Clashes erupt in Pulwama, shutdown in Pampore

Clashes have erupted in Pulwama town of South Kashmir after news about the killing of Naveed Jatt in an encounter with Government forces in Budgam spread.

Reports said  that scores of youth on Wednesday shouting pro-freedom and anti-India slogans hit the streets and threw stones on forces deployed in the area.

Meanwhile witnesses told The Kashmir Walla that shopkeepers in Pulwama and Pampore area downed their shutters as a mark of protest against the killing of Lashkar commander.

The forces tried to disperse the youth by throwing tear smoke shells; however, the clashes were going on, when this report was filed.
