Narcotic drugs recovered from Ganderbal: Police


Srinagar:The Jammu and Kashmir  Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three persons along with narcotic drugs from Ganderbal district.

In a statement issued here the spokesman said, “Police party from police post Gutlibagh laid a checkpoint at Haider Maidan crossing and  a Maruti 800 vehicle bearing Reg. NO. JK01D-5851 was intercepted, and a huge quantity of banned narcotic drugs were recovered from the vehicle,” He said.

He said that  the vehicle was seized on spot and the accused persons were arrested.

“In this regard, a case FIR No. 117/2018 under section 8/22 NDPS Act has been registered and three accused persons were arrested so far. Further investigation in going on.” The spokesman added.
