Modi writes letter to Imran, offers to initiate dialogue

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered Pakistan’s newly elected Prime Minister Imran Khan to initiate talks to improve tense bilateral relations between the two Countries, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was quoted as saying by Dispatch News Desk.

While addressing a Press Conference in Islamabad, Qureshi said Imran Khan received a letter from his Indian Counterpart, in which, the latter feliciated the former on becoming the Counter’s prime minister.

In the letter, according to Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the Indian prime minister also voiced willingness to initiate Pak-India dialogue to resolve bilateral issues.

It is pertinent to mention here that Narendra Modi also held a telephonic conversation with Imran Khan on July 30 after the latter won general elections 2018, and while congratulating him on his victory desired to progressive ties with Pakistan.

Narendra Modi said that both Pakistan and India must adopt a joint strategy to develop and strengthen better ties.
