Following killings in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district authorities suspended mobile internet service in Srinagar and in districts of south Kashmir on Saturday
Meanwhile internet speed was reduced in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
As per official reports internet services have been snapped in view of protests and shutdown call given by the pro-freedom leadership over civilian and militant killings.
Seven civilians were killed during the clashes between the protesters and government forces near the gunfight site in Kharpora Sarnoo village of Pulwama district Saturday morning.
Meanwhile three militants and a soldier were killed in the gunfight.
Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has called for a three day shutdown starting from Saturday after the civilian killings near Pulwama gunfight site.
The resistance leadership also called for a march to Badamibagh cantonment, saying that JRL and people will march towards Badami Bagh Army cantonment on Monday 17 December “to ask GOI [Government of India] to kill all of us at one time rather than killing us daily.”
