Less than 1% votes polled in Srinagar by 8am


Srinagar: Less than one per cent polls were polled in Srinagar municipal corporation until 8 am during the third phase of local bodies’ polls in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.

According to official figures, the polling percentage in the first two hours was recorded as: Anantnag (1.3), Baramulla (9.2), Srinagar (0.4) and Samba (16.8).

Polling began on Saturday for third phase of the urban local bodies’ elections in 96 wards spread across four districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Polling began at 6 am and is slated to end at 4 pm. (GNS)
