Two persons fell unconscious inside a well while cleaning it in Potashi area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.
Officials said that the incident took place around noon when the duo, Abdul Quyoom Sofi (37) and Rafeeq Ahmad Wangoo (40) were cleaning the well and fell unconscious.
“Apparently the duo has consumed some gas,” he said.
Reports said that a local, Tariq Ahmad Mir, saw them falling unconscious and immediately entered the well and with the help of others rescued them.
The official said that the duo has been shifted to Sub District Hospital Kupwara and are under treatment. (GNS)
