A complete shutdown is being observed for the fifth consecutive day in the Kulgam district of south Kashmir over the killings of local militants.
Educational institutions, shops and business establishments are shut in the district, while as traffic movement is minimal. Locals said that barring few private vehicles there is not much traffic on the road.
On July 22 three militants including two from Kulgam were killed in an encounter at Khudwani area of Kulgam district.
And then on Wednesday another Kulgam militant Bilal Ahmad Dar was killed in an encounter in south Kashmir’s Anantnag town.
