Chairman of Peoples Conference Sajad Lone has termed the killing of 14-year-old militant in Mujgund gunfight as sad and scary.
Taking to his Twitter handle Lone said that administration should exhaust all non-military options when a minor is involved. “The killing of a fourteen year old is sad and scary. The administration should exhaust all non military options when a minor is involved. calling off such an operation is a better option. And the involvement of minors in non state military activity merits thought from the society.” He wrote.
14-year-old Mudasir Rashid Parray was among the three militants killed in a gunfight in Mujgund area of Srinagar on Sunday.
Earlier, Mudasir’s picture holding an assault rifle and a knife had gone viral on social media.
Mudasir a 14-year-old teenager from Hajin town in North Kashmir’s Bandipora had gone missing from his home on August 31, after an encounter took place at Parray Mohalla in which three LeT militants were killed.
His family had made appeals via video messages asking for his return.
Three militants were killed in an 18-hour-long gunfight in Mujgund area on the outskirts of Srinagar on Sunday morning, even as five houses were damaged in the firefight.
