In pictures: Kashmiris defy curfew to join teenager’s funeral procession

Thousands of mourners defied curfew in the Indian-controlled Kashmir on Saturday to join the funeral procession of a teenager who was killed by the Indian forces. Eighteen-year-old, Farhat Ahmed Dar, was shot dead during a protest on Friday, while injuring two. After the killing, the government has ordered a probe and imposed curfew restrictions in various parts of the region to stop further protests. Zuhaib Mohammad Khan covered the funeral procession. In these pictures, Farhat’s friends, family, relatives, and neighbors can be seen shouldering his body in the coffin, to bury him in the nearby graveyard.
