Kashmir observes complete shutdown on JRL call


A complete shutdown is being observed across the Valley in view of the shutdown call given by joint resistance leadership (JRL) and  to protest the ways of August 15 celebrations in the state.

All shops, offices business establishments and petrol pumps in Srinagar  are closed, while as public and private transport is also off on all the major roads and highways across the Valley.

Srinagar the capital city of Jammu and Kashmir witnesses a deserted look with very little movement of people on the streets.

However, thousands of CRPF men and cops guarded the  streets, lanes and by lanes to thwart any attempt of people to stage pro-freedom and anti-India demonstrations.

Reports of shutdown on call of pro-freedom leadership have also been received from other major towns and districts of the Valley.
