As the flood alert has been declared in South and Central Kashmir Valley, the Jammu and Kashmir Governor N. N. Vohra has called for an emergency meeting at his residence on Saturday to discuss the arising flood like situation across Kashmir after two days of continuous rainfall.
Several parts of the Valley have been receiving heavy rainfall since the last two days due to which that water levels in river Jhelum and its tributaries has rose above danger mark.
