Internet restored in Srinagar after day-long suspension


Srinagar: Internet services were restored in the Capital City Srinagar after day long suspension on Sunday evening.

Authorities restored the low-speed internet services after being snapped in apprehension of law and problem in the city after seven civilians were killed. During the post gunfight clashes, triggered after three local militants were killed in Sirnoo area of Pulwama on Saturday early morning, government forces opened fire at the protestors.

Internet still continues to be suspended in some parts of the Valley.

In a total 11 lives were lost in Pulwama on Saturday including seven civilians, three militants and an army man. Moreover dozens were injured among which six suffered bullet injuries.
