Civilian killings in Kashmir: Hurriyat issues protest programme

The pro-freedom group in Indian-controlled Kashmir, Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani today issued a protest programme against the killing of two civilians in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district by the Indian army .

Geelani has called on people of Bandipora and Ganderbal to march towards Markandal and Kondabal on 3 July to protest against “state terrorism” and condole with the bereaved families.

On 5 July, Geelani has called on people to hold protests after Friday congregational prayers in the region against the killings.

He termed the inquires as mere eyewash.
