Hizb operative arrested in Delhi for his alleged role in killing Kashmir Police officer

The special cell of Delhi police  have arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen operative for his alleged role in killing of a Jammu and Kashmir police officer, ANI reported.

The operative who has been identified as  Ansar ul Haq has been arrested for his alleged role in killing sub inspector Imtiaz Ahmed Mir in October.

According to the  ANI, “Ansar asked his female friend to ask Imtiaz for a lift, who then tipped off Hizb militants”.

Imtiaz Ahmed Mir, a sub-inspector with Jammu and Kashmir Police was killed on 28 October, and his body was later found in Pulwama. Mir reportedly had set out to visit his family in Pulwama.  He was posted in the CID Department of the state police.
