Grenade attack injures 4 CRPF men in Bijbehara


At least four  troopers belonging to  central reserve police force (CRPF) were injured on Thursday after suspected militants lobbed a grenade on a CRPF patrol near Goriwan area in Bijbehara of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Reports said that militants lobbed a grenade on CRPF men deployed on highway resulting in injuries to four of the troopers.

They said the troopers were rushed to nearby hospital for treatment, meanwhile a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers.

The Jammu and Kashmir police confirmed the incident on it’s Twitter handle, “Grenade incident at Goriwan in Bijbehara. Area under cordon. Four CRPF personnel injured. All stated to be stable.
