GDC Kupwara students protest against Trehgam youth’s killing


Srinagar: Scores of students of Government Degree College (GDC) Kupwara on Tuesday staged a protest against the killing of a 19-year-old Khalid Ahmad Malik who was allegedly killed by army last week at Trehgam area of the south Kashmir district.

The protesting students while  shouting anti India slogans marched on different lanes of Kupwara and appealed the government to book the killers without any delay.

Later a team of police reached the spot resulting in minor clashes between protesting students and forces.

Reports said that the protesting Students hurled stones while government forces fired some tear smoke shells.

The clashes did not last for long, they said.
