Following border flare-up in Uri, cross LoC trade suspended

The cross LoC trade between the two sides of Kashmir on Thursday came to a halt following shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports said that  trade authorities in Uri said  decided to stop the movement of goods between the two parts of Kashmir today.

Adding that since the area of shelling is close to Kaman Post, the authorities decided to suspend the trade.

Two soldiers were injured in the cross-LoC firing yesterday.

Meanwhile shelling started again Thursday morning at 9:30 am and continued till 11am.
