Authorities on Saturday suspended the flight operations at Srinagar airport due to the bad weather.
“Landing/take-off [of flights] temporarily suspended at Srinagar airport due to bad weather/snowfall,” tweeted Information department Srinagar.
As per reports, the flights are lined up at the tarmac, waiting for the weather to improve.
“Flights lined up on a tarmac, waiting for the weather to improve,” the department wrote on their twitter handle.
The department also said that the runway has been closed till 3 PM due to snowfall and poor visibility.
Kashmir valley has been receiving rains and intermittent snowfall since Thursday evening.
