Director ULB Kashmir suspends three employees

Srinagar: Director of Urban Local Bodies Kashmir has suspended three employees after they were found absent from their duties.

The employees who were suspended are Manzoor Ahmed Bhat alias Manzoor Pampori, who is also the president of Urban Local Bodies Employees Union and the other two are Shafaat Ahmed Gandroo and Yasmeena Akhtar.

During the surprise visit by the Director of Urban Local Bodies Kashmir, Farooq Rather to Municipal Committee Pampore on 30 October 2018 (Tuesday), he checked the attendance of employees during which the aforesaid three officials were unauthorizedly absent.

The order copy in possession with The Kashmir Walla reads that,

“It has been observed one of the absentee has not marked his attendance in the attendance register since August 2018, which is serious omission on part of the concerned officials. Therefore, in view of the un-authorized absence from duties, it is hereby that all the three employees are under suspension with immediate effect.”

The order adds that during suspension period, the officials Manzoor Ahmed Bhat and Shafaat Ahmed Gandroo shall remain attached with the office of Executive Officer Municipal Committee Tral and Yasmeena Akhter shall remain attached with the Municipal Committee Awantipora.

Besides this, official sources also said that Manzoor Pampori, while taking the advantage of Unionism, has been benefited with out of turn promotions. In addition to that sources added the Union of Urban Local Bodies Kashmir is not legally authorized as per SRO 160, 1985, government rule.
