Congress anguishes over loss of another life in Shopian

Srinagar: Stating that the killings, in any form, cannot be solution to any problem, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Spokesperson today expressed deep sorrow over the loss of another young boy Mohammad Yousuf, who succumbed to injuries after getting hit by a bullet in Shopian very recently.

Condemning the civilian killings, the Congress Spokesperson described the unabated killings as very unfortunate and painful and termed it as a great threat to peace and stability.

Emphasizing that the killings must stop in the larger interest of peace, the Spokesperson added that the restraint to by Security Force or Army, while dealing with Law & Order problem, will prove to be more helpful in minimizing the alienation, which is at a peak, among the people due to the incidents of killings.

He cautioned that the loss of lives, besides injuries is adding trouble to the already complex situation, Government must take effective measures to avoid loss of lives, he added.
The Spokesperson urged upon both State and Centre Government to ensure that no civilian is targeted or killed, for the fact, such unfortunate incidents is not going to address any problem rather it will add more chaos to the situation. (KNS)
