Cold wave to continue in Kashmir for more days: MeT

Srinagar: Kashmir valley recorded temperatures below freezing point while the cold wave continued its dominance in the Ladakh region.

The month of November has witnessed many chilling nights mostly after the snowfall, which created destruction in the Apple Orchards of Kashmir.

As per the MeT department, similar weather conditions are likely to continue for another five to six days.

Kashmir’s capital city Srinagar recorded minus 0.9 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam minus 0.6 and Gulmarg minus 1.2 as the night’s lowest temperatures, as per MeT record.

Kargil of Ladakh region was the coldest in the state at minus 7.6 degrees Celsius followed by Leh at minus 6.5.
