Cold wave continues in Kashmir, Gulmarg freezes at -10.6

Srinagar: Cold wave conditions continue in Kashmir Valley and Ladakh region on Friday as minimum temperatures remained below the freezing point.

Famous tourist destination Gulmarg being the in north Kashmir was the coldest place in the Valley where minimum temperature was minus 10.6 degrees followed by Kargil from Ladakh region of minus 9.9 degrees.

While as in Leh the minimum temperature was registered as minus 5.9 degrees Celsius.

Capital city Srinagar recorded temperature of  minus 1.0 degrees Celsius, Towns of south Kashmir like Qazigund and Kokernag also registered minimum temperatures of minus 3.4 degrees Celsius and minus 3.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Well known tourist place Pahalgam, in south Kashmir recorded a low of minus 9.7 degrees Celsius.
