CASO launched in Lolab after militants attack army post


A cordon and search operation(CASO)  was launched by  army and Special Operations Group (SOG) of police on Sunday in Lolab Valley of Kupwara district after militants attacked an army patrol this morning.

According to reports militants on Sunday morning opened fire upon a patrol of army’s 28 RR in Khumrial forest area of Lolab of the border district .

Following the ambush, they said, the army and police have started a combing operation in the woods.

“Search operation was started after militants fired at army. The operation is underway,” SSP Kupwara A S Dinker was quoted as saying by media.
