A cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) was launched by government forces in Lone mohalla area of Khudwani in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

The CASO has been launched a day after three militants belonging to Lashkar-e-Toiba  were killed in a gunfight with the forces in the adjoining Wani mohalla of Khudwani.

Reports said that the operation was jointly launched by Army’s 1 RR, Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

They said that the searches were launched in the area following inputs about the presence of militants.
