Budgam: The killed Special Police Officer (SPO) and his brother were laid to rest in Chadabugh village of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday.
Thousands attended the funeral when the body of SPO Ishfaq Ahmed, 24, and his brother Umer Jan, 23, reached their native village. People including men, women, and children flooded the house of two brothers, who were shot at by militants last evening.
Kashmir police chief Vijay Kumar, DIG Central Kashmir Sujit Kumar, and SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem visited the family of the siblings and “paid heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members”, the police said in a tweet.
